Return and Refund Policy

1. General Policy

For safety and quality reasons, most opened or used skincare products cannot be resold and are not eligible for return. This is standard across the beauty industry due to contamination and hygiene risks. 


However, we never want you to feel stuck with a legitimately damaged or incorrect order. Please read the details below.


2. Eligible Returns (Unopened Products)

We accept returns of unopened, unused Products that meet all of the following conditions:

  1. Returned within 30 days of the delivery date
  2. In original, sealed packaging, with all components intact
  3. Purchased directly from www.sagewoodskincare.com (we cannot process returns for items bought through other retailers or platforms)


If approved, we will issue a refund to your original payment method, minus any original shipping charges (unless the return is due to our error).


You are responsible for return shipping costs unless we have made an error or the product arrived damaged.


3. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and regulatory reasons, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds for:

  • Opened or used Products
  • Products without original packaging or with tampered seals
  • Items marked “Final Sale” at the time of purchase
  • Free gifts, samples, or promotional items
  • Products not purchased directly from our Site

If a Product did not work for your skin but is not defective, this alone does not qualify as a defect.


4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives:

  • Damaged,
  • Leaking,
  • With the wrong item(s), or
  • Missing items,

please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@sagewoodskincare.com with:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the product(s), packaging, and shipping label

Once verified, we will, at our discretion:

  • Replace the item, or
  • Issue a refund or store credit

We may decline replacements/refunds where photos or reasonable proof are not provided.


5. How to Request a Return

To start a return request for an eligible unopened item:

  1. Email hello@sagewoodskincare.com with:
    • Subject line: Return Request – Order Number
    • Your full name
    • Order number
    • Item(s) you wish to return
    • Reason for return

  1. If approved, we will send you:
    • Return instructions, and
    • Return address

  1. Ship the item(s) back within 14 days of approval, using a trackable method.

Once we receive and inspect the returned item(s), we’ll notify you of approval or denial and process any applicable refund.


6. Refunds

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original method of payment.
  • Please allow 5–10 business days after approval for the refund to appear on your statement (timing depends on your bank/issuer).
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defective/damaged product.

We do not provide cash refunds for purchases made with gift cards; in those cases, refunds may be issued as store credit.


7. Chargebacks

If you have an issue with your order, please contact us first at hello@sagewoodskincare.com so we can help.

Unauthorized or unfounded chargebacks may result in:

  • Suspension of future ordering privileges, and/or
  • Further investigation with the payment provider

We are committed to resolving legitimate concerns reasonably and fairly.


8. Exchanges

At this time, we do not process direct exchanges.

If you would like a different Product, please follow the return process for eligible unopened items (if applicable) and place a new order.


9. Third-Party Purchases

If you purchased Sagewood Skincare products from a third-party retailer, spa, or marketplace:

  • Their return and refund policy applies.
  • We are unable to process returns or refunds for those orders directly.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this Return & Refund Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date. Your continued purchases after changes are posted constitute your acceptance of the revised Policy.
